Tesla Knight, MSOT, OTR

Tesla Knight, MSOT, OTR is a current Rehabilitation Science PhD student and graduate student researcher in the Rehabilitation Science and Technology Department at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Duquesne University with her master's in occupational therapy in 2022, where she also minored in assistive technology. Her research interests include the use of mainstream technology to increase independence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Fun Tech Fact Questions & Answers:

Q: Mainstream tech device you can’t live without? Why?  

A: My Apple Watch – It keeps me motivated to work out and I use it for everything. I always feel like I’m missing something if I’m not wearing it.

Q: What was your first cell phone?  

A: I think it was a Samsung Reality. It had a full keyboard that would slide out, and I loved texting on it.

Q: What mainstream tech device is at the top of your wish list? Or, what new tech can you not get enough of?  

A: I really want a smart vacuum - it would save me so much time!

Q: If you were a mainstream tech device, what would you be, and why?  

A: I would probably be some type of wireless headphones like AirPods because I love playing music in my free time.
